🦃 Roast Turkey with Stuffing

Ingredients (Turkey)

  • 1 whole turkey (12–14 lbs)
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Herbs: rosemary, thyme, sage
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1 lemon, halved

Ingredients (Stuffing)

  • 1 loaf bread, cubed
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • Sage, thyme, rosemary

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Rub turkey with butter, oil, herbs, salt, pepper.
  3. Place lemon halves inside cavity.
  4. Roast until internal temp reaches 165°F.
  5. Rest 30 minutes before carving.
  6. Sauté onion & celery, toss with bread & herbs.
  7. Add broth, bake stuffing at 350°F for 30–40 minutes.

🍰 Classic Vanilla Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups cake flour
  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¾ cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cream butter & sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
  4. Mix dry ingredients, add alternately with buttermilk.
  5. Bake 25–30 minutes, cool, frost.

🍦 Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

Steps

  1. Whisk ingredients until sugar dissolves.
  2. Churn in ice cream maker 20–25 minutes.
  3. Freeze until firm.

🍨 Hot Fudge Sundae

Ingredients

  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 4 oz bittersweet chocolate
  • 2 tbsp butter

Steps

  1. Heat cream, sugar, cocoa until simmering.
  2. Stir in chocolate & butter until smooth.
  3. Pour over ice cream, top with whipped cream & cherry.

🥤 Southern Sweet Iced Tea

Ingredients

  • 6 black tea bags
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 6 cups cold water

Steps

  1. Steep tea bags in boiling water 15 minutes.
  2. Remove bags, stir in sugar.
  3. Add cold water, chill, serve over ice.

☕ Classic Hot Cocoa

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • ⅓ cup hot water
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Steps

  1. Mix cocoa, sugar, salt with hot water.
  2. Add milk, heat gently.
  3. Stir in vanilla, serve with marshmallows.

🍟 Crispy French Fries

Ingredients

  • 4 russet potatoes
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt

Steps

  1. Cut potatoes into sticks, soak in cold water 30 minutes.
  2. Pat dry thoroughly.
  3. First fry at 300°F for ~5 minutes; drain.
  4. Second fry at 400°F until golden and crisp.
  5. Drain on rack, season with salt.

🍔 Classic Hamburger

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper
  • 4 burger buns

Steps

  1. Mix beef with Worcestershire, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Shape into 4 patties.
  3. Grill or pan-fry ~4–5 minutes per side.
  4. Rest 2 minutes; serve on buns with toppings.
